Gospel At A Glance

Though we provide a much more detailed explanation of the Gospel Message elsewhere on this site, if you are in a hurry or are using this site as a tool to share the Gospel, here is a very quick and succinct presentation of the main points of the Good News!

Keys Points Of The Good News

Quick Tract

God Created Us & Desires a Relationship With Everyone

“11 “You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory and honor and power. For you created all things, and they exist because you created what you pleased.” Revelation 4:11

“27 “His purpose was for the nations to seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him—though he is not far from any one of us.” Acts 17:27

“3 This is good and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.”
1 Timothy 2:3-4

Everyone Has Sinned, & That Sin Has Separated Us From Our Holy God

“23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard” Romans 3:23

“8 If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. 9 But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that his word has no place in our hearts.” 1 John 1:8-10

"14 How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? 15 What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil? How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever?" 2 Corinthians 6:14-15

The Wages Of Sin Is Death

"23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23

God Sent His Son, Jesus, To Pay The Price For Our Sins

“8 But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” Romans 5:8

“24 He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed.” 1 Peter 2:24

To Recieve Salvation (Be Reconciled With God) One Must:

- Repent (Turn From Sin & To God & His Commandments)

“38 Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 This promise is to you, to your children, and to those far away—all who have been called by the Lord our God.” Acts 2:38-39

- Believe In & Trust in Jesus

“9 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.” Romans 10:9-10

“6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

- Give Up Their Own Way (Die To Self)

“34 Then, calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me.” Mark 8:34

- Surrender Their Lives To The Leadership Of Jesus (Living In Obedience To God)

“9 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9

“1 And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.” Romans 12:1

- Let God Change The Way They Think

“2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Romans 12:2

We Are Saved By Grace, Not By Works

“8 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.” Ephesians 2:8-10

Grace Covers Mistakes & Imperfections, Not Willful Repeated Disobedience

“3 And we can be sure that we know him if we obey his commandments. 4 If someone claims, “I know God,” but doesn’t obey God’s commandments, that person is a liar and is not living in the truth. 5 But those who obey God’s word truly show how completely they love him. That is how we know we are living in him. 6 Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did.” 1 John 2:3-6

Before Committing, One Should Count The Cost

“27 And if you do not carry your own cross and follow me, you cannot be my disciple. 28 “But don’t begin until you count the cost.” Luke 14:27-28

The Cost Of Salvation:  Everything/Our Lives

“34 Then, calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me. 35 If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will save it.” Mark 8:34-35

“33 So you cannot become my disciple without giving up everything you own.” Luke 14:32

The Benefits Of Following Jesus Christ
 (Top 3 of Many)

1. He Will Guide Us On The Best Possible Pathway For Our Lives

“8 The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” Psalm 32:8

2. He Will Give Us A Rich & Satisfying Life This Side Of Eternity

“10 The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.” John 10:10

3. He Will Grant Us Eternal Life With Him In Heaven

“29 And everyone who has given up houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or property, for my sake, will receive a hundred times as much in return and will inherit eternal life.” Matthew 19:29

"2 There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? 3 When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. 4 And you know the way to where I am going.” John 14:2-4
